MANILA, Philippines—Dwight Ramos and Levanga Hokkaido have agreed to a contract extension, the B.League club announced Tuesday.

Ramos averaged 9.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists last season in his first year with Hokkaido.

“Ramos played an active role in leading the team to victory last season, which was his first year with the team, with his scoring ability, rebounds, and steals that could break through the situation individually,” said Yo Yokota, CEO of Levanga, in a statement on the team’s website.

“In the new season, which will be his second year at Levanga Hokkaido, he will deepen his understanding of the team’s basketball and become more fit than last season. I hope.”

Hokkaido posted a 19-41 record last season with Ramos missing 19 games due to an ankle injury.

“My 2nd year as a pro has taught me lessons on and off the court and came with a lot of challenges,” the 24-year-old Ramos wrote on Instagram.

“As the next season approaches, I’m excited to announce that I’m signing with @levangahokkaido_official for the next year. Excited to get back with my guys!”

The Filipino-American guard will be playing in his third B.League season.

Ramos suited for the Toyama Grouses in his maiden season in Japan.
