MANILA, Philippines—Jolina Dela Cruz is joining her La Salle teammate Mars Alba in F2 Logistics in her first professional stint in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League season.

F2 Logistics on Sunday evening revealed their third recruit, Dela Cruz, who played four seasons in the UAAP.

The outside spiker from Bulacan, the runner-up to rookie MVP Angel Canino, was instrumental in ending La Salle’s five-year title drought as they completed a Finals series sweep of National University.

Dela Cruz is rejoining the Cargo Movers as she played with the club when it was still playing in the defunct Philippine Superliga in 2019.

She is sticking to the same system and tradition that her La Salle coach Ramil De Jesus built for F2 Logistics, which is now handled by the latter’s protege Regine Diego.

Dela Cruz will be a big boost to the Cargo Movers after she displayed an all-around game last season, ranking eighth in spiking, seventh in blocking, third in service, fifth in reception, and 11th in digs.

The graduating Lady Spiker is joining fellow rookie Jovelyn Fernandez as they beef up the wing spiker rotation with Kianna Dy, Ara Galang, Myla Pablo, and Cha Cruz-Behag

The tandem of Dela Cruz and Alba is also teaming up with former La Salle stalwarts Galang, Dy, Behag, Aby Marano, Majoy Baron, Kim Fajardo, and Dawn Macandili.

The Cargo Movers are seeking to rise from their best PVL finish in the previous All-Filipino Conference, where they earned the bronze, in their first Invitationals stint.
