Joshua Torralba, ex-Blackwater guard, signs with Goyang in KBL
MANILA, Philippines—The Korean Basketball League gained another Filipino talent for its upcoming season.
Joshua Torralba is the latest Filipino to play the KBL after signing with the Goyang Sono Sky Gunners on Tuesday.
Torralba, a second round pick by Blackwater in 2021, became the fourth Filipino import in the KBL as he joined Suwon’s Dave Ildefonso, Daegu’s SJ Belangel, reigning champion Anyang’s Rhenz Abando and Juan Gomez De Liano, who just signed with the Seoul SK Knights last month.
The Sono Skygunners, formerly the Carrot Jumpers, hope to get a big boost from Torralba after finishing with a 28-26 record last season.
Torralba barely played for the Bossing last PBA conference as he posted just 3.1 points per game.
In the ongoing PBA on Tour exhibition series, the 29-year-old guard appeared in only two games and averaged 6.5 points.
Blackwater still has a plethora of guards left despite Torralba’s departure with the likes of Mike DiGregorio RK Ilagan, JVee Casio and Baser Amer in tow.
